THE SERPENT SEED
|
Q. Someone wrote to me saying that I do not tolerate other's interpretations of the Bible. My Response: Proverbs 25:2 This does not say to interpret a matter, but to seek it out. There is
only one "right" meaning. This is what we debate here.
There is one on this list that keeps telling us how poor Christians we are because of all of our bickering. I disagree, we are all good Christians because we are trying to help others. However there is a time when the debate should stop, and for the most part you will not see me promoting my belief unless someone else attacks it. I stand for something! I have told people that I do not expect them to change their lifelong beliefs based on what I post. When I post something, it is up to the reader to take it or leave it. This is a free world, we have freedom of religion and I respect that. I don't care if people are waiting for the second coming of Bozo the clown, I may try to point out the error, but I will not push it. I have made reference to increased understanding of the Bible. This is not a judgment, it is a fact. I know that the Serpent Seed is among the most hated of beliefs, do you think I stick with it because I like being called all those names and I love being laughed at? Great fun. I have been called names here that I have never been called in my entire life. Just for discussing that which I believe is true. Do you really think Eve ate a apple? And this lead to a conception? DO YOU? Eve was pregnant before Adam "knew" her. It is written. This is not a point of interpretation, it is believing what is written. I have seen this descirbed in different ways in all the Bibles. Genesis 3:15 Now I have taken time to locate and paste or type in this same verse
from 11 different translations (one each for the Tanakh and the
Torah). How many different ways must this be written before one
understands that the serpent has an offspring? If you ask me, there is no
room for intrepretations, it is simply written.
I like the way the Targum spells it out however: And the woman beheld Sammael, the angel of death, and was afraid; yet she knew that the tree was good to eat, and that it was medicine for the enlightenment of the eyes, and a desirable tree by means of which to understand. and
And Adam knew Hava his wife, who had desired the Angel; and she conceived, and bare Kain; and she said, I have acquired a man, the Angel of the Lord. And she added to bear from her husband Adam his twin, even Habel. There is the seed of truth and there are apples! |
