Nicolaitans. Rev. 2:6; 2:15.

Revelation
2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes#3531, which I also hate.

Revelation
2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes#3531, which thing I hate.

Comment from The Companion Bible:
Nicolaitanes . History has no record of these. Tradition says much. They will appear “in that day”. All we do know is that they are hateful to God.

Comment from The Dake Bible:
Nicolaitanes 2:6. Followers of Nicolaus, a heretic. They are supposed to have been a sect of gnostics who practiced and taught impure and immoral doctrines, such as the community of wives, that committing adultery and fornication was not sinful, and that eating meats offered to idols was lawful. This was similar to the doctrins of Balaam and Jezebel of Thyarita (v6, 14-15, 20).
