| I do not claim to be a Bible scholar or authority of any kind, I am a Bible student. I will always be a Bible student, I learn something new each and every time I open the Bible. When I first returned from doing things “my way” to learning the word of God I was exposed to the rapture. For some reason the rapture did not make sense to me. I accepted the teaching because my teacher accepted it. I was lucky enough that after about a year and a half I was guided to another teacher that taught straight from the Bible. My new teacher teaches that there is no rapture, says that the word rapture is not in the Bible and it is a false teaching that has been around since 1830, not before. I am not going to try to talk anyone out of believing in the rapture, you would require far more proof from me that the rapture doesn’t exist than you required from whoever told you that it does exist. Also, I want to keep this document as short as possible. If you want to prevent yourself from making a terrible mistake before your savior Jesus Christ, I suggest that you try to prove that the rapture does exist in spite of these verses from the Bible that indicate that it does not. Since I want to keep this document short I am going to just list the specific verse here in this document, but I will make that verse title a link to a page that contains the full context. Even then, you should get your own Bible and look the verses up for yourself. Why would one want to believe in the rapture? There are terrible times coming and Jesus is going to come and remove the church from the earth to keep loyal Christians from having to go through the Tribulation. OK, but think about it. Back when Christianity was new, there were only 12 apostles spreading the “good news” what happened to these 12 apostles that lived with Jesus and learned from his teachings? Each of them was martyred. How about the Christians that the Pharisees persecuted? Did Jesus love them less? Of course not, Jesus loves all of his followers, and I believe that Jesus does intervene on our behalf from time to time. But there is a plan of salvation and that plan will be carried out.
Evil day! what evil day? Aren't we going to be raptured away? If any of these verses make you think, perhaps the Lord is trying to guide you, do not believe me, look it up. Second Timothy contains a good message to ALL Christians:
