SET A MARK UPON THE FOREHEADS

Well, having been interested in Ancient Hebrew this weekend, I was thinking about the "mark" mentioned in Ezekiel 9:44 and the Ancient Hebrew letter "Tov". Pastor Arnold Muray points this out in his Ezekiel teaching, but it is even cooler to see it for yourself.

I decided to make a little paper about it since I have all the materials right here in front of me. I thought you would like to see it as well.

The word "mark" as used in Ezekiel is, in Hebrew, TOV which is a cross. Isn't that too cool?

Ezekiel 9:4 4
And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. KJV

mark: OT:8420
tav (tawv); from OT:8427; a mark; by implication, a signature:
KJV - desire, mark.

OT:8427
tavah (taw-vaw'); a primitive root; to mark out, i.e. (primitive) scratch or (definite) imprint:
KJV - scrabble, set [a mark].

Pasotr Arnold Murray tells us that this marking from Ezekiel 9:44 is still going on in Revleation 7:2-3.

Revelation 7:2-3
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
