DEMOCRACY

Article by Amanda,

I don't think 'Democracy' means the same thing to non-Americans as it does Americans. In fact I know it doesn't. And Muslims, of all people, certainly have a different concept of Democracy than we do. What they really want is Sharia law and a world wide caliphate. In using the term Democracy, Egyptians are just saying, lots of Egyptians want Mubarek out and the Egyptian people should be allowed to elect the crazed Islamic fundamentalist of their choosing. Just as Sadaam Hussein was not really religious (except when it suited him politically) Mubarek is considered a secularist by all accounts. What the Egyptian people want is a Muslim fundamentalist who will enforce Sharia law to the nth degree. They think this will right all the wrongs that are being done to them. It will not. Look at Saudi Arabia where the vast majority are dirt poor and living in squalor while the Saudi Royal family is bathing in more wealth than they know what to do with.

President
Woodrow Wilson

First of all, it really is true that our founders did NOT want a Democracy. It is a fact that they wrote a lot about this and we still have the documents today. They deliberately called it a Republic because they were well acquainted with the pitfalls of Democracy and placed safeguards in our system for avoiding the same demise. Professorial type Liberal Progressives were the first to refer to this country as a Democracy in 1904. They did so purposefully and deliberately . It was all part of a concerted effort to convert this country to a Democracy (if you repeat something enough times people will start to believe it). Progressive Democrat Woodrow Wilson was the first American President to refer to America as a Democracy. Before that it was a dirty word in American politics. Thanks to Sigmund Freud and his nephew Burneys, America has now been called a Democracy so many times that Americans think Democracy was perfected in America and something that we all should aspire to.

The difference between a Democracy and a Republic is this; a Democracy equals mob rule (as we are seeing a taste of in Egypt). A Republic is conducted by the election of local, regional, and state representatives who are supposed to legislate based on the will of the majority of their constituents. This is not what Egyptians are looking for. Watch the YouTube videos ~ these are ordinary Egyptians (angry mobs of men women & children, young & old) demanding a world wide caliphate, the imposition of Sharia law, and the "freedom" to annihilate Israel and America.
